During the festival, 1000’s of photos were taken and many hours of footage shot. Below you find links to various slide shows and clips which we can present here on the web site thanks to sponsorship through Events Queensland’s Regional Development Program. Enjoy!

  1. As a new ukulele player I am very interested in joining you in a record breaking attempt at your next festival. I intend celebrating my 65th birthday by attending. There will be 4 of us coming 2 from Melbourne (Not Players) and my husband and I from New zealand. I’m sure if I know in advance what we will be playing I can get the whole group of us playing along.I have enough ukes to do this. Knowing the date in 2012 will make it easier to get our airfares and accommodation sorted. Looking forward to a reply.

    • Hi Sharron, thanks for your message. With the direct flights into Cairns from NZ it’s a great idea to pop over for the festival next year. We expect to confirm the 2012 date in about a month’s time.

  2. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.A great & wonderful experience for my two grand daughters who are looking forward to attending the festival again next year. Here’s what they have to say:
Rachael (10) and Sarah (7)~” We play the Ukulele and absolutely love it! We are hoping that we can teach our baby cousins (Aidan and Alyssa) to play too. We really hope that next year we can beat the world record. One of the teachers at school can play the ukulele and our grand dad lives in the area, so we are hoping that we can start a Uke Club at school. Our first trip to Cairns for the Ukulele Festival has inspired us a lot.”
Congrats to you all for a job well done. Patrick Goh ( Sydney)
