The Cairns Ukulele Festival organisers have decided to have a break in 2015.
After six years of enormously hard work and five very successful festivals, the organisers have made the tough call to regroup, redevelop, and recuperate (and play uke!).
Realising that that their decision will disappoint quite a few people around the country and from overseas, they did not arrive at this decision easily, but promise to make up for it in the future with some fresh and exciting ideas for 2016 being worked on already. Stay tuned and thank you for your support!
Good thinking team. Having run a comedy festival every year for ten years, we totally understand. Have fun just playing your ukes for a while, get re-energised and go again in 2016 or when you can!
Best wishes, Cathy and Angie, The Wild Women of Armidale
Well-deserved, Gaby & Co. It’s a huge event and you did so many things well. You deserve a break!
What a shame our visit will not go ahead this year. Enjoy the break and know that we will be awaiting news for 2016.
Sharron we’re sad not to see you either!
Good luck team, enjoy the break and be ready for extreme uke in 2016
Thank you to all the team who have organised the festivals over six years. My daughter and I have been to the last two and really loved it. We look forward to 2016. Thanks again for all your efforts. It is really appreciated.
Thanks for organising the festivals and please enjoy a well-earned break.
Sad, My wife and I were looking forward to the Festival, We now look forward to the 2016 Festival.
I went to my first last year and was amazed at how wonderfully busy you kept everyone. Must have been huge for you. I had a ball and look forward to next time. Jac. Townsville.
Hi Would you please be so kind as to advise if there will be a festival in 2016? If so have you any dates in mind? Thank you Russ Riddell
Apologies for the delay. The dates next year are 25-28 August.
