This year, the festival presents a new event, Maton Ukulele Songwriters on the Waterfront at Mondo Restaurant. Hosted by local live music guru Terry Doyle, the show will feature several ukulele songwriters from around Australia and New Zealand. While the sun sets over the Trinity Inlet and Marina – which form the backdrop of this event – punters can enjoy a delicious meal, a cold drink and fresh ukulele sounds. Songwriters on the Waterfront has been running for many years and has been the launching pad for numerous successful artists, including Emma-Louise who has now got chart hits around the globe.

The inaugural Maton Ukulele Songwriters on the Waterfront will feature Nick Paisley, Cameron Murray and Mirrabooka from NSW, local songstress Rachel Bradley and Paul Jonson from New Zealand. These acts will cover a range of musical styles from pop to classic 20′s style music to country and blues.

Following their performances, we will head upstairs to the Hilton Six Degrees Bar for the Opening Night activities.
