We ran a couple of competitions this year, one was a kids colouring-in competition and the other an online photo competition, sponsored by Maton Ukuleles.

The entries below are the winners of the 2013 Cairns Ukulele Festival colouring-in competition. You can collect your prize from Music City (55 Sheridan Street, Cairns) on or after July 15th.

We also held a Facebook photo competition. Entrants had to comply with the following brief in order to be eligible to win:

Submit a photograph taken during any of the previous Cairns Ukulele Festivals. You must be the person who took the photograph in order to be able to participate in this competition. We are looking for artistic, beautiful, creative, crazy and fun submissions. Help us relive the magical moments of the past years, and get into the spirit of this year’s festival!

While some excellent photos were submitted, quite a few did not comply with the brief. The one that did, and received the most votes, was the photo taken at the 2011 world record attempt submitted by Patricia Brosnan. She’s the winner of a beautiful Maton ukulele!  Patricia, you can collect this from July 15th at Music City (55 Sheridan Street, Cairns).
