2 and 3 July – Paint ‘n’ Play workshops

Standard

The popular Paint ‘n’ Play workshops return this year, following the overwhelming success last year. Get in touch with your creative side, be inspired by the Uke Art Exhibition and paint your own ukulele under tutelage of Cairns artist and painter of our last two festival posters, Greg Dwyer! Following the 2-hour painting session you will learn how to play your ukulele in one hour.

Thom Jackson returns for the fourth year running, to instruct novices on how to hold and play your ukulele and get ready for participation in the world record attempt. Thom is a wonderful performer and has instructed thousands of beginners around the country – he will have you playing in no time!

There are separate workshops for kids age 7 and up and adults. The workshops are held in the Pier Shopping Centre, on the Cairns Esplanade, which is also the location of our Uke Art Exhibition.

Tuesday 2 July 10am-1pm
