Uke Art Exhibition II

Standard

Harald's House logoFollowing the success of last year’s exhibition, the Cairns Ukulele festival is excited to host another Uke Art Exhibition, this year to be held June 25th until July 12th at the Tanks Arts Centre.

Some 50 ukuleles will be decorated by local and national artists, ensuring an eclectic art exhibition. The profits of the exhibition will this year be donated to Harald’s House. For the past 19 years, Harald Falge and his Street Level Youth Care team have cared about homeless children in Cairns. Now, the Cairns community is building on Harald’s legacy. Harald’s House is not a halfway house or a diversionary centre. It will be a home. A safe, stable place where homeless kids will have supervision, rules, chores and an opportunity to turn around their troubled lives. Every dollar raised is kept in trust in perpetuity to meet the ongoing operating costs of Harald’s House when it is built.
