“The attendance of our family at the festival was a reward for our daughter for her first semester of Uni. As we all play Ukes when I was made aware of the festival we decided to come up to Cairns for her break. I loved the place and wish we could have stayed for a week so I could have done more things. I really have no reason to come to Cairns apart from the Ukulele Festival and so because I was going to be there I actucally managed to catch up with a bloke I haven’t seen since we were in upper Primary school together on the other side of Australia in the Kimberleys. Now that we’ve caught up again there is added incentive to visit again and so will be over for the next Ukulele Festival. Next time I come though I will be bringing other family and friends with me and doing my best to get other Uke players to take the trip as well.
